Increased downtown parking enforcement
As Kansas City’s downtown momentum continues to attract more residents, visitors and businesses, the City is supporting downtown businesses and residents through a parking enforcement upgrade. As part of the budget process, the city allocated $145,000 to KCPD to increase downtown parking enforcement operations. As a result, starting Monday, April 9, 2018, KCPD will increase downtown parking enforcement. Warning tickets will be issued for a short period of time, however, if the parking violation is a safety concern, or impedes the natural flow of traffic, a citation could be issued.
