This upcoming Webinar is focused on a grant the Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity Department was awarded. Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund’s CityStart program awarded a $100,000 grant to the Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity Department to create a policy blueprint for addressing local barriers to financial stability. The blueprint will contain specific actions for addressing financial barriers which prominently impact Kansas City’s most disadvantaged communities. The CityStart process includes thoughtful data collection and stakeholder engagement practices to best determine the most severe and prominent barriers by including the experience of residents and those who serve such communities.
