    Project Description:

    The Paseo Boulevard Gateway project will reconstruct the intersection of Paseo Blvd and Independence Blvd.  Proposed improvements include:

    • New dedicated left turn lanes on Independence Blvd.
    • New sidewalks on both sides of Independence Blvd. 
    • New sidewalks on both sides of Paseo Blvd. 
    • A 10-foot two-way bike cycle track on the east side of Paseo Blvd north of Admiral Blvd.
    • A 10-foot two-way bike cycle track on the north side of Independence Blvd west of Paseo Blvd.
    • New curb and gutter
    • New street lighting
    • New traffic signals
    • New at-grade intersection at Cliff Drive and Paseo Blvd.

    Traffic Impact:                                      

    This project is currently under design.   Roadway closures are expected during construction. 

    Project Timeline: 

    Current status:  under design.  Construction is expected to be begin in spring 2020, and is expected to be completed by fall 2021.
