Project Description:
This project will add Complete Streets, traffic calming and streetscape improvements to Gregory Boulevard from Wornall Road to Oak Street in the Waldo neighborhood.
Improvements include:
- The addition of traffic calming elements
- A road diet (reduction of vehicular traffic lanes)
- Bike facilities
- Improved access to Trolley Track Trail
- Curb extensions/bulb outs
- Landscaping
- Green infrastructure in partnership with KC Water and the Smart Sewer Program

Project Background:
Gregory Boulevard has been studied extensively since 2013. The Waldo CID completed a streetscape study for the corridor and the Kansas City, Missouri (KCMO) Public Works Department completed an analysis of the impacts of the streetscape plan which included a pedestrian safety analysis of the corridor.

Traffic Impact:
Final plans are complete and the project has been bid. No traffic impacts at this time.
Project Timeline:
Construction is scheduled for late August or early September 2022. Work is scheduled for completion in late 2022.
