Project Description:
This design-build project addresses the older infrastructure along the East 63rd Street corridor between
Woodland Avenue and Prospect Avenue that has reached the end of its service life.
This project will be delivered as a design-build procurement. Design-Build, currently the most popular way to deliver construction projects in the U.S., is a project delivery method where the designer and the builder work together under a single contract from the beginning of the project, helping to ensure unity and communication throughout the process. Design-Build projects save time and money by encouraging innovation and collaboration from the start & helping to deliver projects quicker and with smaller budgets.
The selected designer-builder will analyze the corridor for the best improvements, safety enhancements and efficiency upgrades.
