Byrams Ford Road is located south of Kaufman Stadium.  The project will focus on re-opening the closed bridge.

Roadway improvements include:

• New replacement bridge
• New sidewalk on bridge

This project is currently in the design phase, there are no impacts to traffic at this time.

Project Timeline:        

January 2026 update: Final design complete and the RER (environmental permitting) process is finalized.

General project timeline:  This project is currently in the design phase and the project team has started the acquisition process. Notice letters have gone out to residents. Project going out to bid in mid-2026.

The Missouri Department of Transportation’s (MODOT) Region Bridge Program and the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) awarded $1,237,500 in funding to repair the bridge. The Public Works project will require a 20% funding match of $412,500 dollars.
