When will the plan be complete? Both studies are scheduled to be finalized for adoption in early 2025.

    Project Overview

Kansas City is kicking off the NE 52nd Street Improvements Study from N. Randolph Rd to N. Wheeling Ave., and the N. Bennington Ave. Improvements Design Study from NE 54th St. to City Limits.  The process will include public outreach with the surrounding neighborhoods, Maple Park Middle School and Maplewoods Elementary School.  Engagement will focus on effectively giving the community a voice through collaborative and inclusive discussions.

The goal of both studies is to evaluate a variety of options to improve and provide sustainable enhancements in the roadways that preserve investments while taking into account utility impacts, right-of-way impacts, bicycles, pedestrians, and stormwater in a cost-effective way.
