Lee’s Summit Road is located south of Independence and west of Blue Springs. The project will focus on realigning and improving Lee's Summit Road between Lakewood Boulevard and Anderson Road. This project is currently in the design phase.
Roadway improvements include:
- Street realignment
- Multi-use trail
- Curb and gutter
- Retaining walls
- Bike lane
- Widened roadway

Current status: June 2019- Review revised ROW plans.
General project timeline: Project is moving forward with design in preparation for right of way acquisition. Construction funding is anticipated to be available in 2021.
City staff, project representatives, community members and elected officials gathered for a public meeting on February 6, 2020 to review design plans and provide feedback about the project. Over 70 attendees came to the meeting!
