Project Overview
The project involves evaluating the existing intersection at Little Blue Road and E 79th Street to provide a safer design for drivers. Design plans are nearing completion, and involve changing the stop condition at the intersection:
- E. 79th Street currently has a stop sign
- Following a realignment, Little Blue Road will have the stop condition, giving E. 79th Street a through movement
Funding for the entire project is currently $1,150,000.00.
Project Timeline
If the proposed improvements are approved, Public Works hopes to start construction by Fall 2026.
Traffic Impact
During construction, there will be road closures on both Little Blue Road. and E. 79th Street. Those closures will take place at separate times, with a detour route in place for drivers.
