KCMO.gov wins government award
Becomes award-winning site less than six months after relaunch

KCMO.gov, the official website for the City of Kansas City, Missouri, has been granted the 2019 Modern Website Award by the Granicus Digital Government Awards. The Modern Website Award goes to organizations that use a data-driven approach to strengthen the relationship between government and citizens through a modern, mobile-friendly website. KCMO.gov, which serves about 1.3 million unique visitors annually, relaunched in July 2019.
Granicus noted that KCMO.gov placed citizen experience at the center of its redesign approach, delivering an improved experience and quickly connecting residents to the services and information they are searching for. Data from analytics, surveys and residents' feedback over the last five years was used to design the new website.

- Clear organization
- Comprehensive calendar
- Site map on almost every page
- New menus
