Kansas City is expanding its temporary plan to assist residents with storm debris disposal and neighborhood cleanup efforts.
Curbside pickup appointments will now be available City-wide:
- Service is by appointment only
- Residents must request a collection appointment via the myKCMO Mobile or Web Apps, or by contacting 311 Monday -Friday between 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Those who do not request an appointment will not be collected.
- To request an appointment through the myKCMO app, make a report and select “Brush Special Collection Request” as the category.
- Appointments will open starting Wednesday, June 17.
- Appointments will close on Friday, June 26 at 7:00 PM.
- Pick Up will start on Monday, June 29 and will run until all reservations are completed.
Requirements:
- All storm debris must be cut into 4’ lengths and limbs must be bundled with twine or jute rope (not wire or plastic tape).
- All debris must be at the curb on Monday, June 29 by 7:00 AM
- This service is for storm debris only, leaf and grass clippings will not be collected.
The following Missouri Organics drop-off sites will be open daily and available free of charge for Kansas City residents from Monday, June, 15 through Saturday, June 20:
- 10301 Raytown Road
- 7700 E. U.S. Highway 40
- 11660 N. Main Street
Drop-off sites will be closed on Sunday, June 21. The following two drop-off sites will be open for free storm debris disposal from Monday, June 22 through Saturday, June 27:
- 10301 Raytown Road
- 11660 N. Main Street
All Missouri Organics sites are open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
This measure is intended to provide residents with a convenient and cost-free option for disposing of storm-related debris.
