Limited access at Municipal Court and BizCare/Business License Office, with full online services

Post Date:06/15/2020 11:42 AM

Municipal Court has started holding a limited number of trials for people in custody and scheduled probation appointments. Only people identified ahead of time to attend will be allowed inside the courthouse, and they must check-in with security and wear a mask. Temperature screenings may be conducted.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Municipal Court remains closed past security for all other members of the public until further notice.

The Court has created the option of appearing in court online in a video conference with the judge and prosecutor. To apply, go to and click the Virtual Court Appearance link.

The website has additional details of this slow reopening phase, instructions for attorneys and other ways to do court business online, as well as by mail or phone.
