City Hall is open from 8 a.m. -  5 p.m. Monday - Friday except during drills, emergencies and holidays. Non-holiday City Hall closings are announced on the KCMO.gov home page, through  social media, and through AlertKC, the text message notification system. 

City offices and 311 are closed on the following holidays:

• New Year’s Day
• Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
• President’s Day - Feb. 17, 2025
• Memorial Day - May 26, 2025
• Juneteenth - June 19, 2025
• Independence Day - July 4, 2025
• Labor Day - Sept. 1, 2025
• Veterans Day - Nov. 11, 2025
• Thanksgiving - Nov. 27, 2025
• The Friday following Thanksgiving - Nov. 28, 2025
• Christmas Day - Dec. 25, 2025

During holidays, trash pickup is usually delayed and follows the holiday schedule.

Payments for taxes, traffic tickets, water bills, and others can be made online at any time. See KCMO.gov/pay for options.
