The New KC moniker combines a reflection of the past, an emphasis on craftsmanship, a connection to sport and entrepreneurship, and is also an immediately recognizable mark. The KC brand has design elements referencing City Hall and is a clear nod to the great KC Monarchs — winners of 25-national titles. Unlike our city logos before, the new KC logo will be open-source. Anyone, or business, with good intent, has permission to use the new mark. We encourage our entire community to embrace the new brand. The new Kansas City mark does not just belong to the government, it belongs to all of KC.
The “Fountain” logo remains the official mark of the City of Kansas City, Mo., and should remain on any official forms, documents and correspondence that represents official City business when distributed to the public.
