The Green Team Alliance is a new community network initiated by the Office of Environmental Quality.

Across Kansas City, small environmental groups are doing powerful work. Some are just getting started by a single person, while others may be long-standing neighborhood groups with many members.

What they often lack is connection to other teams, connections to City leaders, shared templates and tools, funding opportunities, and a larger community of practice.

At its heart, the Alliance will foster real-world community and build collective power. When green teams are connected, supported, and visible, they can accelerate environmental action, strengthen neighborhoods, and build a more resilient Kansas City together.

The Alliance will serve as a shared in-person and virtual hub where green teams can:

❓Ask questions and crowdsource solutions

🗓️ Share event announcements and ask for volunteers

📝 Exchange templates, outreach materials, and project ideas

🌳 Learn about jobs, grants and funding opportunities

👷🏽‍♂️Connect with speakers and sustainability experts
