Kansas City has identified seven pre-approved home plans at no cost to the residents.
This aligns with Kansas City’s Goals of Housing & Healthy Communities focusing on maintaining & increasing housing supply; all residents having safe, accessible, quality housing by reducing barriers; and using a planning approach for sustainable, affordable housing.
General Next Steps:
- Choose a Plan
- Select a plot
- Submit Site plan and survey
- Apply for permits (Pay Fee) for each trade only except the design of mechanical system submission per IB171 RE , S,J,D design criteria by mechanical contractor
- Schedule/complete inspections, as applicable
