Yes. To print a copy of your return, click on ‘Submissions’ and ‘View Submissions’. Next, select the return and click ‘Print Submission’. Print using your internet browser’s printing functionality.

Yes. You may request a payment plan for amounts owed for Earnings and Profits Taxes, Business Licensing or Arena Fees. Payment plans cannot exceed 6 monthly installments.
After you submit your request, an email will be sent to you to let you know if your request was approved. If approved, you need to accept the payment plan terms. Payment plans must be accepted within five days. Payments will be automatically drafted from the bank account provided.

Yes. To meet this annual requirement, there are two options that may be used on Quick Tax:

Yes, third party tax preparers can use the online Quick Tax system to file and pay taxes on behalf of their clients.
Step 1. Register Your Business
Step 1 is to be completed only if you have not previously filed a tax return, or are not required to have any tax accounts with the City. To register your business, go to Quick Tax and click on ‘Register Business.’ Complete all steps of the registration process by providing your identifying information and submit your request. For Step 3, if as a preparer you are not located in or do not perform services in Kansas City, Mo. and only file taxes on behalf of clients with tax obligations, answer ‘No’ to the question ‘I require tax accounts with Kansas City, Missouri.’
Your submitted registration will need to be reviewed by City staff. This review process will take approximately five business days. Once your registration has been approved you will be able to sign up for Quick Tax.
Step 2. Sign Up for Quick Tax
Step 2 is to be completed by all third party processers in order to file and/or remit payments online on behalf of their clients. In order to sign up for the Quick Tax system, go to Quick Tax and click on ‘Sign Up.’ Complete all steps of the sign up process. For Step 3, select Option B. A third party tax preparer will then enter his/her accounting firm’s information when clicking on ‘Customer Info’. After all of the required fields are complete, click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 3. Establish Access to Your Customer Accounts
After you logon to Quick Tax, click on ‘Access Client/Spouse Accts’ on the navigation sidebar to request access to your clients’ accounts. In order to complete this you will need the following:
- Your client’s ID (SSN or FEIN),
- The City-assigned account ID (either the legacy ID or the new 10-digit account ID),
- And, either a payment/refund amount for your client processed within the last year or a Letter ID printed on a letter sent to your client within the last year (but not prior to June 10, 2013).
After your request is processed, the account(s) will display within a few minutes in the ‘Other Taxpayer’s Accounts’ sub-tab under the ‘Accounts’ tab.
Step 4. Add Bulk Upload Filing Capability (Optional)
Many larger payroll companies and CPA/accounting firms will benefit from the option of submitting quarterly returns and the annual required W-2 filings via the bulk upload option available within Quick Tax.
In order to add this option, please contact the Revenue Division at (816) 513-1120 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Once this is added to your account you will have access to the portal for the upload of your bulk withholding file(s). Click on the account ID link for the ‘Bulk Withhld’ account type to access the ‘Upload W2s’ and ‘Upload Withholding Returns’ functions from the navigation sidebar.
