We are hosting our very first Women’s Wellness Fair next weekend. This event is as much a celebration as it is a health fair – by focusing this event on the needs of women, we hope both the fun and the resources offered will benefit our community.
Our event will have health screenings, music, food trucks, games, health resources, and family activities such as yoga, aerobic dance, and art therapy. It will also include a panel discussion of women advocates to “Speak up for Your Health” here in Kansas City.
This event is to honor women but will offer fun for everyone. Bring your families out to the Guadalupe Centers on Cesar Chavez Avenue next Saturday, October 22nd, from 11 am to 2 pm to join in! The first 50 entries will receive a free gift – so come early!
Services we can provide include:
- Presenting health education
- Tabling at community events
- Sharing printed or electronic health education materials
- Providing monthly Health Literacy workshops
- Offering capacity building for organizations
