Our team includes Case Managers, Violence Prevention Professionals, and other specialists. Together, we work with our community stakeholders to reduce violence, poverty, and substance abuse, and improve mental health across the city.

We Build Community Relationships: We bring different community groups together to work as a team, so people can get the best care possible.

 Our Division also manages several funds, including the following:

• The Violence Prevention Fund: We use this fund to support community programs that prevent violence and promote well-being.
• The Mental Health Fund: We use this fund to strengthen local mental health services and support treatment providers delivering critical care in our community.

The Programs We Run

Our Division supports communities through several key programs:

• The Aim4Peace Program: Treating violence as a public health issue, this program uses community-based teams to mediate conflicts, prevent shootings, and make Kansas City safer.
• The REACH Program: This program offers an alternative to incarceration for adults struggling with substance abuse, mental health challenges, or extreme poverty.
• The RENEW KC Program: This program supports survivors of opioid overdose on their path to recovery and works to prevent future tragedies by providing life-saving supplies and peer support.
