The Neighborhood Empowerment Grant supports programs that increase community engagement, build neighborhood identity, and improve quality of life in Kansas City neighborhoods. Examples of eligible projects are available on our "How to Apply" page.
This funding is only available for Neighborhood or Home Associations that are registered with the City of Kansas City and the State of Missouri. Please visit Neighborhood Direct for more information on how to register your neighborhood with the City.
How the Empowerment Grants Are Helping the Community
Since starting three years ago, this program has invested over $1.64 million into our city. Through 100 different grants, we have helped neighborhood associations and community groups turn their local visions into reality.
