Public Works uses a data-driven approach to provide essential services for a high quality of life in Kansas City. The department is responsible for directing construction of major capital improvement projects; maintaining public streets, sidewalks, streetlights, traffic signals; and implementing strategic initiatives for the safety and vitality of Kansas City residents.
