About Us
The KC Futures Commission is a leadership initiative that provides a structured platform for youth and young adults to participate in local government. Members meet regularly to discuss key issues, learn how City decisions are made, and collaborate on policy ideas and recommendations that reflect what young people are seeing and experiencing in their communities. The Commission exists because early civic engagement matters. When young people take part in local decision-making, they go on to become informed, confident citizens who can enact change here in Kansas City and beyond.
