    What is Match Ready KC?

Match Ready KC is Kansas City’s unified effort to prepare our city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Across more than a dozen departments, the City is improving infrastructure, beautifying neighborhoods, supporting small businesses, enhancing public safety, and strengthening services so residents and visitors experience Kansas City at its best.

This work is coordinated through the City Manager’s Office and reflects five core priorities:

    • Preparation – Delivering infrastructure, mobility, safety, and service improvements.
    • Partnership – Working with regional and national partners to align Kansas City for the moment.
    • Pride in Service – Elevating City employees and the teams behind the work.
    • Transparency – Providing clear, accessible information to residents and businesses.
    • Legacy – Ensuring improvements benefit Kansas City for years to come.
